1  I choose this simple wall picture. (Fig 1)
2. It will be less than 12" high.
3. This poster-like picture is not in proportion, so you may
    choose a larger head size or shorter body.
MATERIAL: 1 10-1/2" 18 guage wire (Arm), 1 22" 18 guage wire (Body), Wall paper paste,
1 1" Styrofoam ball, Crafters (or ELMERS) glue, Washi paper, Awl, 1 Tooth pick,
Paper towel.

BODY:

1. Wrap around a 3/8"wide hand torn strip of Washi
    paper to wire. Add more layers for thicker arms
    and legs. (Fig. 2)
2. Attach body wire to arm wire. (Fig. 3 & 4)
3. Cut 2 bases for shoes. (Fig. 5)
4. Use ELMER'S glue to secure the base, let it dry,
    build the shoe shape. (Fig. 6)

5. Cut paper towels about 5", enough volume to shape a body, lay in between body
    wires front and back. (Fig.7)
6. Use 1" hand torn paper glued on Washi paper to wrap around the body. After drying.     cover with at least 2 more layers of hand torn 1" to 1-1/2" Washi paper. (Fig. 8)

HEAD:

1. Secure tooth pick onto the styrofoam with ELMER'S glue. (Fig. 9)
2. Cover several layers of Washi paper including the neck with no larger than your
    finger nail size torn paper. (Fig. 10)
3. Trim neck about 1-1/2" from the head. Use awl and make a hole to insert the
    neck. Glue inside the hole, put neck in. (Fig. 11)
4. Cover with body toned Washi paper or paint with body toned water color. (Fig.12)

CLOTHES:

1. Cut 1-1/2" x 6-1/2" for a dress. Hand tear along the dotted area. (Fig.13)
2. Arrange the cut pieces as Figure 14 and glue together along the pink area.
3. Cut 2 - 1 3/4" square pieces for the sleeves. (Fig. 15)
4. Glue on pink area, make a tube, slide through arm, secure on the shoulder. (Fig. 16)
5. Glue on blue area on the dress, drape over the body, press on the body, let it dry.
1. Hand cut a 3" diameter circle.
2. Glue on the top 1/3 of head. (Fig. 17)
3. Drape down, shape it. (Fig.18)
4. Cut 8" x 1" for the hat band. crumble them between your palms,
    straighten out, tie around the hat, secure with glue.
HAT:

WATER SPOUT:
I use a 2" styrofoam ball, trim it to the shape I like, and cover it with colored Washi paper. You can use plastic caps or little medicine measuring cups and cover them with paper. Use a Washi paper covered wire for the handle and pieces of chop sticks for the spout and cover them with Washi paper.
